If anyone fancies doing The Artist's Way
Do join us on Monday 7pm UK time on zoom - link below.
Hello,
I put this out on FB before Christmas and there was a few people interested. I’m sorry for the slow organisation.
If anyone fancies 12 weeks of The Artist’s Way, I’m going to start on Monday. We can have a hello zoom on Monday evening 7pm UK time for anyone who fancies it and we can do a check in every Monday evening after that. And you don’t need to join the calls. You can just do the book at your own pace, knowing that others are doing it and I’m sure I’ll write bits and pieces on it for the newsletter. I have blimmin covid again - having only just recovered from Sept’s dose - so we’ll go super gentle.
For those who are unfamiliar, The Artist’s Way is a book by Julia Cameron. Each chapter of the book recommends different creative ideas for the week, and it’s 12 weeks in all.
The main approach involves writing 3 pages of stream of consciousness every morning. This is meant to clear out mental gunk and get us in touch with our deeper selves. Then there are other things too, including Artist’s Dates which involve taking yourself out for something joyful and inspiring once a week.
Warning, there is a lot of ‘god’ talk in the book - but she also gives us ways to work around that if that word / concept doesn’t float your boat.
I know that this can be life-changing stuff but I’ve never seen it through to the end.
Maybe this is the year.
I interviewed Julia Cameron before Christmas and she was wonderful - a real example of living with great openness and truth.
Right now my body and brain seem a bit stuck and confused - old ways aren’t working and I don’t know what to do instead. I’m hoping The Artist’s Way will help.
Would be lovely to do it alongside anyone who fancies it.
All best
Mx
Love xx

Hmm this book has been on my shelf for a while now...! Perhaps I should join you! 😉
I, too, have had this book for awhile. I tried it, way back in 2000 then revived it in 2015 but as one of the crew stated I can not seem to get the habit of it.
Wish I could join- however, the time in Canada is too early in the day. xo
