The New York Times Wants Me To Wash My Hair
Hello all,
How are you?
A while ago my American audiobook publisher asked me to write about what happened since the book came out.
It covers the heady heights of going on Polish morning television before a slot on cat litter trays - and irritating the reviewer at the New York Times who really, really wanted me to wash my hair.

In some ways it feels like old news but on the other hand, it's stuff I haven't shared before and it might be fun to read. Or annoying. Fun or annoying? Or both? Let me know.
In other news, in a bid to add consistency to my life, I am starting a regular fortnightly newsletter. It will consist of one longish piece about life / love / self-help followed by a few titbits about what I'm reading, listening to, thinking about.
I am totally jumping on the newsletter bandwagon because I like the ones I subscribe to and I hope that it means that you will always be able to see it, even if you are not on Facebook or Instagram.
If you like it enough to want to share it with friends, I'd appreciate it - and if you have enough emails in your life right now and want to unsubscribe, I totally understand - you can do that any time.
All my love and thanks for reading.
Marianne
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
To Natalie Winterlich @nataliewinterlich for this newsletter header and illustration. Is it the height of vanity to get an illustration done of oneself? I think so and I recommend you all do it!! Natalie is very talented - check out her Insta.
