I vanished again. I’m sorry. I seem to be in the middle of some kind of burn out / chronic fatigue / long covid / post viral fatigue situation. I started acknowledging this to people in October, when I had to explain why I couldn’t do, well, almost anything - but it’s been going on for a lot longer than that.
Sending you love and wishes for good health, Marianne! I hope 2024 is brighter for you. Just know there are tons of people out here cheering you on and appreciative of your voice. x
You're such a lovely person Marianne, I really hope you start to feel better and brighter this new year. As always I loved reading your piece, you're so open and honest...and write with humour and warmth, even if it's about difficult stuff.
Oh I know that feeling . I was exactly the same years ago - it was chronic fatigue syndrome after Swine flu & chronic tonsillitis. Fast forward many years and I got very similar results after Covid in 2020. I’ve been struggling too - the merry go round of not well, well enough, feeling stuck. But I agree with you the pressure to succeed is overwhelming! So I’m setting intentions but letting go of expectations as this year I want more kindness to me and others. With the world’s conflicts making me feel helpless, what I can control is giving of myself.
Hang in there Marianne, you’re a survivor! I enjoy hearing from you whenever that is.
Love you Marianne 💕 hope you feel better soon ❤️ you are right everyone has their struggles and the things they have to accept ❤️ and I always wonder how other people do so much 🤯 but it's wonderful as always to read your musings 💕 Happy New Year ✨️
Reading your newsletter is always a breath of fresh air Marianne! I send you strength and love and you're absolytely rightm 2024 is another year of being your amazing self! xx
What a tonic this post is. As someone with hidden disabilities who marvels at all the 'doing' others seem to do, I related so hard. I find your writing style so refreshing and touching. Yes. May we embrace it all - Life.

I’m reading and working through the 8-week programme in ‘Deeper Mindfulness’ by Mark Williams. It’s helping. You might like it xx
